The kids loved the ice cream, but they also got a kick out of the face painting. Magnus was thrilled to be Spiderman, webs and all (but after and hour when we got to the truck he wanted it all rubs off.. take took a lot of wet wipes!)

DC Scoops
We took the kids downtown for the “DC Scoops” event. More than a dozen ice cream vendors were present offering up free scoops. The visitors got 3 free scoop tickets as well as a voting ticket to drop in the bucket of the vendor that you thought had the best ice cream. There were so many yummy and unique flavors… but the one that stands out the most is the one that I disliked the most, maple and bacon ice cream. I thought I would give it a try… YUCK, those things just don’t got together, at least not for me!
