The day came that we finally had to say good-bye to the Hurlburt Field Child Development Center (CDC). I will miss all the outstanding caregivers and all the fond memories I have of this place. Though the beginning was rough for me, as this was the place where I was leaving my precious baby in the hands of strangers (or so it seemed at the time). The 1st day that I dropped off Magnus, he was 4-months old, and I went back home and cried... and then 2-hours later came and picked him back up. For the next 2-weeks I couldn't leave his room each morning without crying. Soon I was able to make it to the car, before I would cry... eventually I made it all the way to work before I would cry. And finally, I stopped crying. Then along came Maliah. Again at 4-months, I dropped her off and cried. But this time I only cried, maybe 3-days all together.
The way that the caregivers brought my children into their hearts absolutely made me feel better. I will forever cherish the happy times that the Hurlburt CDC brought to my children's lives. :)
