St Louis Summer Visits

Over the summer we took two trips back to St Louis Missouri, to attend family weddings.  During these visits we enjoyed 3 trips to the zoo, a camping trip, and a visit to the Magic House and Science Center.  As well as visiting with family and friends!!!

Pirate

The National Geographic Museum, in downtown DC, hosted an exhibit this summer called “Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship.”  Along with this exhibit they hosted a Pirate Family Fun Day.  Magnus got a coin from a pirate, and we bought him an eye patch (that he had been begging for for weeks) from the gift shop.

Father's Day - Kids Dash

For the 2nd year we did the Dash for Dad's run in Pentagon City.  This year we signed Magnus up for the kids run.  He enjoyed it.. all except the end where he crossed well after all the big kids.  Made for a rough start to the actually 4 mile run, as Magnus was still struggling with the fact that he isn't the fasted kid in town.  This added to the dynamics as Dylan pushed both Magnus and Maliah in the stroller, and had to continually appease Magnus' brused ego along the way. But the yummy treats at the end of the race (pizza, smoothies, chips & salsa, etc) helped end everything on a positive note!
