We went to South Mountain Creamery (http://www.southmountaincreamery.com/pages.php?pageid=4) for their annual spring festival. The kids enjoyed the cows.. and tasting the ice cream the cows helped to make. And there was lots more for them to do... milking a replica cow, seeing all the new baby farm animals (calfs, goat kids, baby bunnies, chics... in every stage from eggs to tiny and then small chics), a hay ride, hay bale tunnel, rock mound w toy tractors, and sitting on every piece of farm equipment in sight.

DC in Spring
Spring in DC is always beautiful! From the famous Cherry Blossoms to all the other blooming flora, such as the tulips and daffodils, it is picturesque.
For many visitors the Cherry Blossoms having been playing games on them. As last, 2012, they bloomed early (by 2-weeks), and this year they bloomed late (by almost a month). So tourist planning their trip around blossom time were disappointed. But luckily for us no matter the time of the bloom, the blossoms are just a quick 2-mile downhill bike ride away!

Bike Ride
Magnus is riding a bike (and he just turned 4 a month ago)! When Magnus turned 2, we got him a strider bike. It is a bike with no pedals that a child can sit on and practice balancing himself (like the one Maliah is on in the picture below).
Today we asked Magnus if he wanted to try his bike with pedals. He said 'yes,' and within 5 minutes he was riding his bike all on his own. He stills wants to put his feet down to stop, so he needs a little more practicing to get used to pushing back on the pedals to stop.
