Foxes

All spring we have been watching as the foxes in our back yard grew from pups to old enough to leave the den. It wasn't the same once the foxes were grown and we knew we wouldn't have any outdoor guests to entertain us during breakfast.

White House Spring Garden Tour

Every year, in the spring and fall the White House opens its gardens and grounds to visitors to view the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden and the South Lawn of the White House. Additionally, the White House Kitchen Garden – the first vegetable garden at the White House since Eleanor Roosevelt’s Victory Garden – will be accessible to tour guests.

Netherlands Carillon Tulips

The Netherlands Carillon adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery was a gift from the people of the Netherlands to the people of the United States of America in 1954. The Netherlands Carillon plays Westminster Chimes on the hour and plays American patriotic music twice daily. Special songs are played on May 5 (Dutch Liberation Day), July 4 (U.S. Independence Day), September 2 (V-J Day), and Thanksgiving Day. Thousands of tulips are planted on the surrounding grounds. (Nearby is the United States Marine Corps War Memorial… aka Iwo Jima)

It was hard to catch Maliah with the flowers, but we managed some good shots (aka can see her face and she isn't making a odd gesture... or at least too odd looking of a gesture).
