Ready to Go

Maliah discovered the joy of playing with her parents keys.  Why is it that keys are so fun.  I give her her baby keys and she is done with them in a minute... but give her my keys and she is content fro hours.  She was so content I was able to snap a photo of her playing with the keys before I even had to worry about her wiggling and falling off the counter (bad Mom).  {Check out her niffy shoe socks (socks that looks like shoes; kill two birds wtih one stone concept), I love them!}

 

Buddy Aiden

Magnus misses his 'buddy' Aiden back in Florida.  Magnus was excited to receive a picture of Aiden in the mail.  The photo resides in our kitchen, and Magnus looks at Aiden's picture everyday! (Magnus was also very excited about the Mightening McQueen stickers that accompanied Aiden's photo)

Magnus' Buddies

Magnus is going through a phase where he likes to tote around a bunch of buddies.  These buddies consist of items like as seen in the picture below; Lightening McQueen hat, Tow Mater and Lightening McQueen blanket, stuffed elephant, Lightening McQueen pillow, Lady Pillow (Mom's pillow when she was a kid, that has a picture of a lady sitting at a seat sewing).  And he likes to line them up where ever he goes too, except sometimes he actually wears the Lightening McQueen hat. 

Waiting

On nice days Maliah would go outside by the front steps, and wait for Mom, Dad and Magnus to get home from work/school.  And if she was in a good mood she would bring Grandma or Grandpa out with her to take pictures.

Diana Coyne Visit

Great Aunt Diana Coyne visited for a week and helped Grandma Newman watch Maliah during the day (and the rest of us at night).

Penrose Neighborhood Block Party

About a week after we moved into our new house in Arlington, VA, our neighbor hood had a block party/BBQ at the playground that is just 5 doors down from us.  As the video shows... Magnus had a good time.

Grandparent's Day

At Magnus daycare they celebrated Grandparent's Day... and luckily enough we had a Grandparent, Grandma Newman, in-town visiting that was able to partake in the Grandparent's Day festivities of lunch and a recital of Grandparent songs by the kiddos!  (And Grandma Newman got a certificate, that I am sure she will frame in gold, that certifies her as the 'Greatest Grandma in the World')

Maliah Smile

Maliah is so full of smiles, and they are adorable smiles to see.  She squints, throws her head back, looks up to the sky and then grins from ear to ear.  What a beautiful sight!

Maliah has gotten the hang of crawling and is all over our wood floors in our new spacious living room.

Hi PaPa

After Grandma Newman finished a phone call with Papa Newman, she tells Maliah to say Hi Papa.  And we are convinced that is just what Maliah said "Hi, Papa!"

Now that we are in DC we decided we should go visit our neighbors.  We rang the door bell, but no one answered!
